Upgrading the Metrix Client
The following is a brief overview of the installation process for upgrading the Metrix Client from an earlier version of the Metrix Client.

Before upgrading the Metrix Client, you must upgrade the Metrix Sever. To see if Metrix Server is already installed, click Start and select Control Panel. Click the Add or Remove Programs icon and check the list to see if Metrix Server appears.

Downloading and Launching the Client Upgrader Installer
- Download the Metrix Client Upgrader from http://metrix.fcny.org.
You have to sign up for an account (if you don't already have one).
- Launch the installer and complete the installation wizard.
The installation wizard will take you through the steps to upgrade Metrix.adp.
The installation wizard for the Client Upgrader will move custom objects from the previous version of Metrix.adp to the new version of Metrix.adp. It then replaces the old file with the new file.
- Launch the configuration wizard.
The configuration wizard connects Metrix.adp to the database and sets references from Metrix.adp to the shared library files, interactsql.adp and reportsql.adp.

You'll have to enter a password to configure the files. The default installation password for the sa user account is admin.
