Working with Interactions History

Viewing Interaction History

You can use the Interactions History form for an overview of all Interactions and their details for a specific contact.

  1. Navigate to the contact whose history you want to view.
  2. Press Interactions on the Contact Toolbar and select History.

The Interactions History form will be displayed.

This form lists all of the Interactions for the contact and any notes that were added for the Interaction. Press and hold Shift and F2 for a zoom view of the Notes data. You can change the font and format of the text displayed in the Zoom dialog, but you can't edit the text directly.

The Interactions History form shows the Interaction Title and the note associated with the Interaction. You can't create or edit notes directly from the Notes field. To do this, double-click an Interaction Title in order to view the detail data associated with the Interaction. This will display the Work with Interaction form, where you can edit data directly.

You can filter the list of Interactions by selecting a category in the using the Filter by Interaction area.

Note: The fields displayed on the Work with Interactions form vary depending upon the Interaction that was selected and how Interactions have been setup for your organization. Some Interactions will display a data-sheet grid for entering data, others will have formatted data entry forms. If you have questions about how your Interactions are setup, or if you need to enter additional data, please speak with the Metrix Administrator at your organization.

Adding an Interaction to an Individual Contact

  1. To add an Interaction for either the selected contact's record or a group that is currently filtered, press Add Interaction in the Interactions History form.
    The Select Interaction form will be appear, displaying Interactions by category.
  2. Highlight the Interaction you wish to use and then press Add Interaction.

    Next, the Work with Interactions form will be displayed. This is used to enter detail data about the Interaction.

    Note: The fields displayed on the Work with Interactions form vary depending upon the Interaction that was selected and how Interactions have been setup for your organization.   3. Press OK to add the Interaction and return to the Interactions History form. The Interaction that you just added will be displayed on the list.

About the Interactions History form in version 1.4

The Interactions History form has a new column: Module ID.

The Module ID column identifies the module to which each interaction belongs. See Modules Explained.
